1) What is
the mission of The Paul Brifo Foundation?
The
organization devotes substantially all of its activities to the
alleviation of poverty, disease, and suffering by providing
unwanted clothing items to indigent or similarly deserving
children and their care givers at no charge.
2) How
does The Paul Brifo Foundation accomplish this?
We collect unwanted clothing
items from the people living in the United States, recondition
the items, and present them to infants, young adults, and other
people who are in need of clothes but cannot afford to acquire
them.
3) How does The Paul Brifo
Foundation select their recipients?
A number of orphanage homes
and churches have been listed at random. They each receive the
donated clothes, one at a time. Currently we supply orphanages
and churches. Eventually we will reach out to schools for the
blind and disabled. Clothes are distributed through the
established leadership of beneficiary organizations.
4) Why was Ghana chosen as a
primary recipient?
I was born in Ghana and
lived there for over 15 years. Members of my family currently
reside there and this gives me special insight into the current
needs of the people. The items sent to deserving individuals benefit them
greatly because they are freely donated. The Foundation funds
local representatives who drive considerable distances to
deliver the items to the needy people.
Donated clothes to Ghana are
a big financial relief to the beneficiaries because of the high
cost of living, and its attending lower standard of living in
this third world nation.
Our work in Ghana supports
our mission to alleviate poverty, disease, and suffering in
developing countries world wide.
5) Where
is The Paul Brifo Foundation based?
The headquarters and the
majority of the operations are conducted in Texas.
6) How is The Paul Brifo
Foundation funded?
The activity is funded from
personal resources and donated funds from well wishers. Funds
are required for shipping and overhead costs. We would greatly
appreciate your
donation.
7) Does The Paul Brifo
Foundation qualify as a Charitable Organization under the United
States tax code?
The Foundation is exempt
from Federal income tax under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal
Revenue Code. Contributions to the foundation are deductible
under section 170 of the Code.
8) What are the future plans
for The Paul Brifo Foundation?
While the foundation may
start at a small scale taking care of small communities and
children with clothing needs in orphanages and children’s homes
in Ghana, Africa, the venture is expected to grow and cover the
entire country, then over time the other African countries.
With more resources being
available, the Foundation will eventually cover the entire
developing countries world wide. Special emphasis will of course
be placed on the orphanages, charity homes, and other related
centers where needy people are housed.
